7　Assembly

7.1　General

7.1.1　The name，specification，quantity，surface intactness and deformation of the prefabricated members shall be inspected or verified prior to assembly.Re-inspection is required as specified in Chapter 6 where necessary.

7.1.2　All mud，sand，rust，water and oil adjacent to prefabricated member grooves shall be thoroughly cleaned prior to assembly.

7.1.3　All sample plates used during assembly and inspection shall be as specified in 6.1.1.

7.1.4　When the absorber body is assembled，the inspection of the off-set of butt welds shall be based on the internal wall.

7.1.5　No damage to the base metal is allowed when fixture tools are removed.All craters on the steel surface shall be ground smooth.Repair shall be made as required in Section 8.8 in event of any damages to the base metal.
